Marvin E. Smith is a practitioner and SME (Subject Matter Expert) in leveraging tools and technologies that enhance human interactions in strategic talent acquisition initiatives. For the past dozen years, Marvin’s work has focused on recruitment marketing, strategic talent sourcing, and creating online communities of talent. Marvin’s current role with a Fortune 50 organization (Lockheed Martin) focuses on HR technology (automated recruitment marketing), strategic talent sourcing and creating talent communities for key talent segments. Prior to his current role, Marvin held positions in strategic talent sourcing, social recruiting & recruitment marketing program management with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; Blackberry; and Microsoft. Previously he was a recruiter/recruiting leader with SMB organizations and early stage tech companies.

Marvin is active is several talent acquisition non-profit initiatives including the Talent Board’s CandE Bar Advisory Council which consists of multiyear winners of the Candidate Experience Award. Currently, Marvin is President of the Board of Trustees of the Northwest Recruiters Association, a leading professional organization for talent acquisition and is a co-founder and board member of Sourcing 7, a community of talent sourcers.
