The Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals (ATAP –
http://atapglobal.org) has a primary goal of establishing a Body of Knowledge for the profession, which in turn will help to establish common standards for education, measurement and ethics. To establish this Body of Knowledge, ATAP will be gathering and validating quantitative and qualitative data from a variety of sources, including working sessions at conferences such as Sourcecon.
We invite you to join us for a working session (meaning that all those who attend are expected to participate and get to work) to discuss and debate the fundamentals of how a sourcing function can and should be established, focusing on resources, process, roles, goals and expectations. This foundational work will help strategically define how organizations should look to successfully build and maintain sourcing functions in their organizations.
A committee of ATAP members will be bringing the results of their initial work on this topic to this session. A facilitated discussion will present their findings and invite your perspective, experience and any evidence that you bring along to support your position as it relates to this topic. This peer review effort will be a critical step to help advance this work, ultimately towards a generally accepted set of educational standards.
