When you have a license to source, all bets are off. You want to find all the candidates no matter how hard they try to hide. Social networks are great because of the high amount of candidates that use these sites. Also, because social networks are built around similar interests, they can make for a great way to target by group.
The only problem is searching some of these. Some of these networks have very little information on the profiles and some of the networks absolutely require you to be connected before you start messaging the users. So how can you use these networks for real-world searches? With a little help from James Bond, we will teach you how to source:
- LinkedIn - Getting the most out of LinkedIn with just a free account
- Twitter - That's right! Some people use Twitter as their primary network
- Facebook - with almost 2 billion users, you had better not skip this
- Pinterest & Instagram - Again, this is the primary network for some people
- Meetup - So many candidates all centered around a location and an interest
- International Sourcing - Xing, Viadeo, Weibo, Mixi, RenRen, Qzone, etc.
Not only will we talk demonstrate the use of these networks in sourcing, but we will also show you what do once you've found your candidate's social profile. Whether you are a newbie, an intermediate sourcer or an expert, you will be able to take away many things from this lab. We invite you to bring your laptops, your questions and your ideas. Come prepared to learn a lot and change the way you think about sourcing.
